Telephone Tips

The internet is your friend. Utilize the free stuff. Emails are a lot cheaper than a long distance call. Information is free on the internet, so why pay $1 to call 411?

Cut back. Make sure you know what services you’re paying for and cancel the ones you don’t need. Do you make conference calls from home? No, then cancel three way calling.

Cellular savings.  There are plenty of ways to cut back the cell phone bill. I’ve got mine about as low as it will go. Make sure you aren’t paying for features you don’t use, like unlimited texting can cost you $15-$20 a month, but do you use that many text messages? A 500 text plan may only cost you $5 a month. Check your bill to see how many texts you’ve averaged over the last few months and drop the plan if you can. Are you using all your minutes? My husband used to have a 900 minute plan but averaged 300 minutes a month so we lowered the plan and saved $20 a month. Also look into family share plans. When we finally got smart enough to do this, it saved us $55 a month!
