Travel Savings
- Don’t let the airline fees get you down. It’s not enough these days to look for the lowest rates, you must also consider the (often comical) fees that airlines charge these days. From blanket and pillow fees, to headphone fees, to peanut fees. Save money by packing your snacks and headphones and packing light. Baggage fees can add up, so pack only what you need.
- Look for free attractions. A lot of the larger travel destinations have plenty of free attractions to go see. If you have your heart set on things that have admission fees, look for multi pass options or two for one deals. Take the time to shop around to ensure you get the best possible deal.
- Sacrifice the four star hotels. It’s possible to get a great deal on a four star hotel, but during busy travel times, rooms can spike, so don’t think you need the big expensive hotel room to have the full travel experience. Settle for something a little less, not like you’ll really be spending much time in the room anyway right?
- Scenic wonders can save a bundle. Look for national parks and forests, fees are often minimal or free and offer a great value for the money.
