Wrap up your savings…

Use holiday magazine pages to wrap small gifts

Don’t forget about the comic section, it always makes for some interesting wrapping paper

Use children’s artwork on plain paper for smaller gifts or large reams of plain paper for the larger gifts. I know this was a huge hit for my Mom last year, to get a gift wrapped and decorated by the grandkids! If you have an excess of themed wrapping paper that isn’t Holiday, turn it over and have the kids decorate the back. No one will care that it says Happy Birthday on the back.

Make your own gift tags. You can cut small squares of wrapping paper and fold it in half, or cut up old Christmas cards.

Brown paper lunch bags look great with a ribbon, and you don’t need a gift tag, just write to and from write on the bag! You can  fold over the top, punch two holes  and thread a ribbon or raffia through it to dress it up, or how about hanging a homemade ornament from the ribbon?
